CUSTOM FRAMING

Museum quality framing, explained

We can help you choose the right frame, mat, and finishing details for artwork, photographs, keepsakes, and more using conservation quality glass, archival materials, and expert craftsmanship.

Q

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT FOR CUSTOM FRAMING?

No appointment is necessary during regular hours at either our Hilton Head or Bluffton location. In general, the best times to discuss framing at our Hilton Head Island locations are Monday through Friday. For our Bluffton location, Tuesday through Thursday are best.

Q

WHAT CAN YOU FRAME?

A non exhaustive list: original paintings, photographs, prints, needlework, sports memorabilia and jerseys , mirrors, children's artwork, diplomas and certificates, maps, and oversized works. We've seen everything from autographed cocktail napkins to bespoke Mardi Gras high-heels to antique fishing lures and ceramic animal figurines. If you're not sure whether your piece can be framed, bring it in; odds are, we can!

Q

CAN YOU MATCH FRAMES TO MY EXISTING DECOR?

This is one of our most common requests, and something we do very well. Bring in a photo of your room, a fabric swatch, or simply describe the space and our framing team will guide you through hundreds of moulding options to find a frame that belongs in your home. We work with interior designers and builders throughout the Hilton Head and Bluffton area regularly.

Q

WHAT IS CONSERVATION FRAMING AND DO I NEED IT?

Conservation framing uses UV- protective glass and acid- free, archival mats and backing to prevent light damage and material degradation that destroys artwork over time. If your framing has any sentimental or monetary value, conservation framing is always worth it. We offer museum- quality conservation options at every price point.

Q

HOW LONG DOES CUSTOM FRAMING TAKE?

Turnaround time varies by complexity and materials, but most custom framing orders are ready around two weeks. Rush orders may be accommodated- please ask us at the time of your consultation.  Baring unforeseen issues with aquiring your materials, we'll give you a realistic timeline before leaving your pieces with us.

Q

DO YOU OFFER INSTALLATION SERVICES?

Yes. We offer professional installation and hanging for both purchased artwork and custom- framed pieces. We serve homes, vacation properties, commercial and medical spaces, and offices throughout Hilton Head, Bluffton, Palmetto Bluff, Beaufort County, and the greater Lowcountry. Ask us about artwork delivery and placement any time.
